Electrical Controls Engineer

Job Description:Job Description We are recruiting a quality-conscious and detail-oriented Electrical Control Engineer to grow with. The successful candidate will join our Project Team and complete engineering design and manufacturing of our high intensity burners. The detailed responsibilities will include:Design of Process Control Logic and Control Narratives for Burner Management Systems (BMS) and Combustion Control Systems (CCS)Programming of PLC with HMI display and control panels for BMSCreate PID, control logic diagram, electrical and instrumentation drawingsPrepare design calculations and specifications for major components, including fuel valve train, ignitor/pilotCreate Bills of MaterialsSupport Engineering team in designing, troubleshooting, and other functions related to projects · Prepare product manuals and other technical documents for internal and external useKnowledge of process applications and performance of industrial combustion equipment and overall process needs · Support commissioning and start-up of combustion Troubleshoot end-user issues and assisting in the implementation of effective solutions Skill Requirements: · A degree in Electrical or Electro-mechanical Engineering · At least 3 years of PLC and DCS controls and replated fields working experience. P. Eng is preferred. · Experience with full lifecycle project experience: From controls hardware design to PLC programming and to commissioning projects · Proficient in MS Office 365 (Excel, Word and Outlook). · Knowledge of CSA, TSSA, NFPA codes – Fuel safety · Knowledge of B31.1, B31.3, B51, AMSE codes – BPV · Strong communications, coordination and project management skills; the ideal candidate will be required to interface with customers and suppliers · Is self-motivated and highly organized; able to work independently with minimum supervision in a very fast paced, results driven environment Assets: Worked with petrol-chemical and oil refinery industryFamiliar with Combustion Equipment If interested, please email your CV/resume in PDF format to: hr@aecometric.com.
