Miyata Seven Ten Vintage Road Racing Bike

Hit the road this summer with a cool vintage road bike! 59 cm frame size (Large) for mid-tall to tall riders (~5'9" up to maybe 6'2") High quality Japanese-made Miyata Road bike, model 'Seven Ten'. Older bike, c. mid 1980s. Triple butted chromoly frame with chromoly fork from a Miele (Canadian brand) of the same era. Original crankset, f. derailleur, shift levers, brakes (with newer brake pads), brake levers, stem, handlebar, seatpost and headset. More modern Shimano r. derailleur. 2x6 friction shifting, so super easy to set up and very little to go wrong. High quality 700x28 Michelin tires f&r. Bike could accept narrower tires for the authentic vintage race bike feel, but probably won't accept much larger - maybe 30mm wide, but it would depend on the tire. Bike is in ok condition for its age - some paintbchips and surface rust visible, but the frame and fork are still solid. Some surface rust on chain and gears but it runs smooth - rust could easily be removed with a bit of WD40 and a wire brush, but I don't think it's worth the effort. The only down sides: Rear shift cable is frayed so could probably use replacing - I could even give you a piece of modern shift cable housing if you are planning to replace. Handlebar tape is a bit worn. Great bike, make me an offer. Located in Petawawa.
