My roommate and I are looking for an individual or a couple, to sublet a room in a 3 bedroom house, from May 1st to August 31st, with the possibility of renewal. It is a three level house you'd be sharing with myself (28, she/her) and another young professional (28/they/them) and a medium sized (very adorable but high-needs dog) named Theo. You would be getting the largest room in the house.
It includes a shared office space, a large living room, a backyard with a deck, a basement for storage and laundry, and a garage. We mainly use heat pumps to heat the house. You would be paying 1150/month, plus utilities and internet for aprox.100$/ total per month (a little less in the summer and more in the winter for heat). We are walking distance to bus routes, grocery stores, walmart, and the Halifax Shopping Centre.
We are looking for someone kind and respectful, who is good at communicating, generally laid back but values a clean space, and is queer friendly. Ideally, we would be interested in living with someone who is open to chatting and getting to know us, but we are also both busy and understand the need for space. I work full-time from home and my other roommate works hybrid full-time, so is often in and out of the house during work hours! We both value community, enjoy cooking, singing and going to fitness/dance/activity classes! We are open to living with cats but can't have dogs because Theo does not get along with them.
