SEPT - House of music, friends, conversation and a hottub

WE FILLED OUR APRIL OPENING AND ARE NOW LOOKING FOR SEPTEMBER ♥️ (As a special ask. Please don't come to our door unless we have had a chance to connect electronically before)

Looking for an interesting, warm, open, and creative (but responsible) individual to share a gorgeous, renovated, 100+ year old Victorian style home in the absolute heart of the Dalhousie campus. For more than fifteen years the house, through many iterations, has been home to a community of wonderful people. Filled often with those doing their graduate degrees in search of family in a new town and/or those that think that group living with the right people is pretty wonderful if the pressure points are smoothed to the greatest extent possible. Generally the age of people in the house is folks in mid 20s to mid 40s. When the house is at its happiest, the piano is accompanied by all the voices and/or the table is surrounded with new friends and playful and interesting conversations.

The house has the following features: - 5 houses from the law school - within 1 1/2 blocks of medicine, dentistry and management buildings - gracious, warm and inviting foyer big front porch - vast parklike fairy light lit patio in backyard - 2 fridges - dishwasher - 2 stoves (10 burners) - 4 bathrooms including basement and top floor - everything extremely well maintained - new washer and dryer (plus additional washer and dryer in basement) - beautiful large kitchen big bay windows hardwood flooring - clawfoot tub - beautiful high ceilings and cove mouldings - 100 yr old piano - natural gas bbq - solar power water heating - central heat pump helps with cooling in the summer - note that parking may not be available

Also, the basement has been turned into a pretty wonderful open concept lair which is rented out most of the month but can be used if and as it is free, with recessed 10' projection screen, 10' by 10' square coach, hottub, steam shower, and bunkbeds hidden in the wall.

Looking for a really good fit for the house (ie to keep it balanced and full of a good mix of different communities, school programs/work backrounds and personalities). Perhaps kind of like Noah's ark:)

Rent is $800. Heating, electricity, water, and internet is included in the price. Additionally, there is an additional fee of $30 per month to pay the cost of a cleaning person hired to clean the common areas from time to time and contribute to house supplies etc.
