Seeking roomie is a 2bd unit in Victorian building
- Pet Friendly
Looking for a very tidy, responsible, non-smoking, gay-friendly roommate to share a beautiful 2-bedroom apartment in a Victorian building. Avail June 1 or before. I am the leaseholder. You would be subletting from me. Lease can be short term. Just require 2 months notice if vacating. $1150 per month.
The three-storey building is near Bathurst and College St, close to Little Italy, Kensington Market, U of T and the Annex. There is an amazing coffee shop, Voodoo Child, a few doors down. Great food options - Vegan, Persian, Sunday Jewish brunch - are close by. The 24hr College Streetcar stops right by the front door.
Features include: high ceilings, exposed brick, original red pine wood floors, dishwasher, central A/C, bathroom with two sinks. Unit is on the second floor - 1 flight of stairs.
The apartment is one of three units in the building. Laundry is shared, but free. The washer and dryer are right beside the unit.
An enormous renovated deck is shared with one other unit. In the summer, a communal herb garden is kept back there.
The room is 10 x 16.5 with 2 large windows. Curtains and blinds to block the sun. Large closet.
There is an amazing landlord who takes pride in the building and deals with problems quickly.
No pets please. Scent sensitive especially to heavy things Ike Downy fabric softer, Bounce sheets, colognes.
Keeping the apartment clean is very important but so is having a livable, relaxing space.
Utilities not included. On average factor in an additional $100 which would also include sharing internet.
Cable TV and Crave are included. (Bill Maher, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Handmaid’s Tale, RPDR and more).
In normal times I work as a photographer. I focus on creatives, events, head shots and politics. It would not be uncommon for me to be shooting a drag queen one week and a politician the next. On occasion I use the main space for studio work. Feel free to look up Mitchel Raphael Photography. When it’s not a pandemic often out working evening events especially weekends.
Prior to full-time photography I worked as a journalist, editor and columnist/photographer for several major and indie publications. Politics as well as pop/sub-cultures were a big focus.
There is a black shelving unit in the room. Otherwise it’s unfurnished.
Street parking available with purchase of permit.
Please send me a message if you are interested or require further detail. I will get back to you ASAP.
