Renovated and fully equipped kitchen-dining area with 1.5 fridges and chest freezer (and another half fridge in bedroom), laundry facilities, full bathroom with tub/shower and two half bathrooms. Living room with large flat screen TV for Netflix, desk, sofa bed, and fireplace. Towels, sheets, blankets, and pillows all provided. Parking available and included in the rent, subject to availability. Large deck with BBQ overlooking backyard and park out back. This is a supportive, friendly, and clean household with 3 other quiet and very nice International graduate students and young professionals and occasional visits from friendly landlady who keeps up on maintenance. We are looking for a fourth housemate who is clean, quiet, friendly, environmentally conscious, and helps with shared, light chores to keep this a GREAT place to live. Specifically, we are looking for someone who will wash their dishes and help keep the kitchen clean, do their share in taking out the garbage and compost, sorting the recycling, vacuuming the common areas every 2 weeks, and take turns in cleaning the bathrooms on a regular basis. We are looking for an emotionally mature housemate. This is a clean, spacious, and lovely place to live and we want to keep it that way with a conscientious, respectful housemate who is good at living in a shared home. Rent is $830/room/month, utilities included. You can rent all year round. You can have an annual lease or rent month to month. The room is available now and is in a finished basement with a sunny window and double bed with a very comfortable mattress and antique oak dresser with mirror, as well as a desk, lamp, 2 chairs, bookshelf, built-in shelving and a closet. The bedroom has a white tile floor. There are two area rugs. The basement bedroom is next to one of the half bathrooms with the washer and drier. Bike trails are one block away. If you are a paddler, you can keep your kayak or canoe behind the shed in the backyard. The Rideau River is one block away and is ideal for launching your boat for a glorious paddle.
