Saint-Michel is a reasonably good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced atmosphere. Greenery is not especially present in this part of the city; more specifically, residents will find that most streets have below average tree coverage. Nonetheless, it is very easy to get to green spaces from a large number of locations within the neighbourhood since there are about 10 of them nearby for residents to explore. This neighbourhood is reasonably quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although that is not the case closer to the railway line or Autoroute Métropolitaine.
