Description

Manufactured by the Anchorage | Dyer Boats in November 2018, this dinghy has been in water only ONCE for a brief excursion under oars.

The first fiberglass version of the Dhow was built in 1948, making it the oldest continuously-produced fiberglass boat. The Dhow was designed with versatility in mind: it rows easily, tows straight behind a cruising boat, and carries a simple cat rig allowing it to be used as a comfortable, non-demanding daysailer. It can also be powered with a small outboard. The Dhow’s “hard chine” design and wide beam give it great stability and excellent carrying capacity: as a tender, it can hold up to four adults.

The forward and center seats have boxed flotation and in the stern there is flotation foam behind the aft bulkhead. The aluminum mast takes just minutes to put together and step, and it is held in place by three stays.
