Description

We are relocating and are saddened that we must rehome our beloved sailboat of 14 years, Breeze. She has given us countless hours of enjoyment both on the St. John River and in Grand Lake and now it is time for someone else to enjoy her many features to create their own adventures. We have even had her in Hartts Lake (a great quiet place to anchor for the night) which is too shallow for most sailboats. Her raised keel and ability to float in under 12 inches of water make the St John River a fantastic playground. We have beached on the islands for a day of fun and adventure, then easily sailed away the next day. She is lightweight enabling us to sail in light winds while other sailboats were required to wait for heavier winds. She comfortably sleeps 6 and we have often taken our grandchildren for overnight adventures on the water. She comes with cockpit cushions and full canvas for protection during inclement weather which can be set up in minutes even while underway. She offers an indoor single burner propane stove (converted from alcohol and can easily be switched back if desired) and a bbq on deck giving plenty of versatility for cooking. There is a large ice chest beneath one of the benches below deck. Want a little extra fun? Simply raise the keel and empty the ballast and the 50hp Honda engine will easily give enough pep to pull a skier or tuber. We loved sailing so rarely used the engine. The rear driver's seat raises creating an open transom for easy access to the swim ladder. There is shallow storage below births and deeper storage beneath seating. She is constructed of fibreglass, both inside and out making her easy to keep clean. She comes with a double axle trailer and is small enough to transport easily yet large enough to be comfortable for several days on the water. Can be towed with any SUV or small pickup. She can easily be launched yourself and the mast raised while anchored eliminating the need for expensive cranes. She comes with a main sail with cover, roller furling 120% genoa & jib sail, 2 solar panels and is wired to charge either the house battery or the motor battery or both at the same time with the turn of a switch. Also included are the mast jack, boat hooks, and bumpers. You won't beat the versatility of a MacGregor.
