Description
This 1978 C&C 30 is the shoal draft version, meaning that she only draws 4.2 feet of water. This translates into maximum flexibility in respect of fluctuating water depths.
This boat is an absolute pleasure to sail, and as you will see if you check out the linked series of youtube videos, she is very easy to sail singlehanded with all lines leading to the cockpit where there are self tailing winches and a wheel mounted auto pilot to take over when you need to do something. The Yanmar diesel motor absolutely sips fuel, you barely ever need to add more.
I have owned her for 7 years and I am the third owner. In my time, I have undertaken a number of improvements, including but not limited to: 1) Completely refinishing and refairing the bottom with interlux interpotect 2000 and Interlux Micron. 2) wetsanding and polishing the topsides to bring back the shine. 3) repainting the boot and cove stripes 4) recoring the cockpit sole and refinishing the entire cockpit in fresh gelcoat and non-skid 5) replacing all the running rigging 6) new life lines 7) new shrouds 8) new batteries this year, new charger 9) new canvas for dodger and cockpit extension 10) the sails were brand new in 2017. 11) Spring 2024 two coats of Micron CSC-CA, meaning you wont have to apply bottom paint for 3 years.
This is definitely one of the nicer c&c 30s you will find on the lake.
If you're interested in the boat, please look at some of the youtube videos. If you're still interested after that, please send me a note and we can arrange a viewing.
