Description
This classic Pearson 35 sailboat shows her strikingly beautiful lines as she cuts through the water under full sail. Originally designed as a coastal ocean cruiser, this 1969 edition (Hull Number 113) has always been kept in fresh water, originally in Lake Michigan, and more recently in Lake of the Woods. With her shoal-draft full keel and swing/retractable centerboard (draft 3’9” with centerboard up, 7’6” centerboard down), she comfortably fits into any sheltered anchorage. Length overall is 35 feet, beam 10 feet. Her interior is spacious and comfortable, with a large v-berth with ample headroom, saloon with transom and pilot berths to starboard and dinette (convertible to double berth) to port. There is extensive storage in drawers and lockers, and the interior is nicely finished in varnished mahogany. The galley has three-burner propane stove with oven, and a large icebox with 12 volt refrigeration conversion. Propane bottles are in a custom-built locker with an electric solenoid shut-off and overboard drain. There is a hot/cold pressure water system with an AllCraft hot water tank. The head has a Blake-Lavac vacuum toilet and holding tank.
Sails include a full-batten North Sails main with LazyMate flaking system (2002), 155 genoa (2002) on Furlex roller furler, and spinnaker with pole. Winches include two Harken 44-2ST winches, two Barient 22 spinnaker winches, and two Barient 10 halyard winches on mast. Inboard engine is an Atomic 4 gasoline engine, upgraded to electronic ignition and very reliable. Propeller is a 12 X 6 inch three-blade. There are three new deep-cycle house batteries and one new start battery.
Other equipment includes: Hummingbird 535 depth sounder and knotmeter, Garmin GPSmap 620, 6” Ritchie Globemaster compass in binnacle, VHF radio with masthead antenna, sound system with four speakers, 15 Kg Bruce anchor, Simpson-Lawrence Hyspeed manual anchor windlass with 125 feet chain and 75 feet nylon rode, Fortress second anchor with 10 feet of chain and 75 feet of nylon rode, Force 10 propane barbecue, and a heavy-duty steel cradle for on-shore storage/transport.
This classic boat offers great value for a strong, comfortable cruiser. She is currently located at Northern Harbour on Lake of the Woods, Kenora, where a berth is available.
