Salomon Rockettes. Sidecut 144 115 127. Length 170. Radius 20.3 Twin tip. Very light (honeycomb construction) tips. Bought new with Rossignol bindings at end of season: used twice. Great condition!
Review from FreeSkier:
For the ripping female skier, the Rockette 115 offers full twin rocker and shares the shape of the Rocker2 with women’s-specific dimensions. “Great ski that carves suprisingly well,” gushed one tester. Salomon rider Elyse Saugstad calls them lively and responsive. She also says the Rockettes are happy buttering high-speed turns on steep AK faces. Despite the rocker, they carry their own on groomers and chop. One tester called these a “great overall women’s powder ski that carve surprisingly well and float like a dream.”
Review from Ski Club GB:
The light, rockered tip and tail really help make the Rockette easy to use on steeper terrain and tricky situations; it spins on a dime and can make quick direction changes and adjustments to the turn in an instant. This makes it perfect for ripping around in the trees and through variable terrain. Because of its width underfoot it still retains good stability yet still manages to feel surprisingly quick edge to edge in shorter turns. Again, like many of the women’s specific big mountain skis we struggled to get a long enough length to test, and this hampered high speed long turns, but overall this is a great backcountry ski.
