Description

2014 BMW s1000r — No test drives or trades— 20k km Tons of aftermarket upgrades! The bike has flush mount signal lights, (the stock ones look horrible) and despite the size they are insanely bright. Tail tidy kit with flush mount rear signals Rizoma rear sets and passenger set. Rizoma skid plates on both sides. Carbon fibre front and rear wheel covers Rizoma brake fluid container Rizoma handle bar protectors Rizoma mirrors Akrapovic exhaust The bike is also has all the factory upgraded features. They come in standard and premium options. This bike has the premium package. It has on the fly adjustable suspension, so you can go from soft to medium to firm while riding. You'd be surprised at some of the shitty bumpy roads we have in Calgary like Crowchild tr. near the Uni where soft suspension is awesome. But if your ripping it fast the firm suspension is what I stick with. It has cruise control and heated grips. I use these anytime I'm riding late at night and early in the morning. Hands get cold fast unless it's peak summer. It also has 4 ride modes. The "Rain" mode provides gentle throttle response, with ABS and ASC (automatic stability control) adapted to wet road surfaces. The "Road" mode optimizes throttle response, ABS and ASC for dry asphalt. The Pro modes are available as an optional extra for those chasing the threshold range: "Dynamic" and "Dynamic Pro". I've never even used these modes. The pro one is more for taking it to the track and racing it. You actually have to take out a chip from under to seat to allow it to happen. This bike will keep us to any super bike in pro mode. Rain mode still feels crazy fast, but I basically only use Road mode. Best part of this bike is that you have clutchless shifting. You can pin the throttle and without letting go or slowing down you can tap the shifter with your foot and it'll shift on the fly. No loss of acceleration while shifting. You still need to pull the clutch to downshift. This bike can do 120km in first gear and it has 6 gears. I bought the bike at 15,306km and currently the bike is at 19,900km and I changed the tires at 19,014 km. I put on some premium soft tires so the traction and handling corners is unreal. Only problem is that is the softer the tire the faster they wear out. The tires are Diablo Rosso III's and with install was $660. Last things that were done were oil change, fluid flush, new sprocket and chain, and replaced a gasket. There was also a safety recall replacement done on the fuel pump. That was no charge, but the rest was something like $1700. All in all if you buy this you should have no repairs, oil changes or any services needed at all till at least a year or 2 where I’d do an oil change. But that all depends on how much you ride.
