The ST1300 was first introduced in 2002 in Europe and Australia under the ST1300 Pan European name, while for the United States market, the bike was delivered in limited numbers, around 2,200 per year, starting with 2003 as the ST1300.
The 2003 Honda ST1300 was a powerful and comfortable touring machine for long-distance riding. It offered good performance and comfort, topped by great touring accessories, making it a popular choice among riders.
Compared to the ST1100 model, the 2003 ST1300 packed a 1.261 cc V4 engine that delivered more power and torque with effortless acceleration. The engine was shortened by 51 mm, allowing for better ergonomics for both rider and passenger.
The all-new aluminum frame combined optimal rigidity and tuned flex for excellent handling. The suspension was handled by a 45 mm air-assisted telescopic fork on the front and a shock absorber on the rear with preload and rebound adjustability.
The 2003 Honda ST1300's 1,261cc four-cylinder liquid-cooled packed a Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) system, delivering 118 hp at 8,000 rpm and 117 Nm (86 lb-ft) of torque at 6,500 rpm.
