Vintage 70’s Sony Stereo Receiver

Sony sold the STR-4800 SD between 1976 and 1978. It offers 35 watts per channel, including connections for 2 pairs of speakers. There’s a nice phono input as well as facilities to add an MP3 player, Bluetooth receiver, CD player etc. It also has low and high frequency filters and 2 tape monitor inputs for flexibility in adding more audio sources. It features a good looking wood cabinet, was recently serviced and the tuner has been aligned for best reception. Lights, switches and controls are in excellent shape and working great. Although working perfectly, the unit did suffer some damage at some point which cracked the far left portion of the interior tuning scale glass. It doesn’t affect operation in any way and is solidly held in place so should not be an issue in the future. The unit is priced accordingly. Garage auditions are welcome. Pickup is in New Hamburg or shipping at cost. Please check my other listings for interesting serviced vintage audio equipment.
