1982 Yamaha XJ750 Maxim

For sale: 1982 Yamaha XJ750 Maxim Odometer: 31846 km With 82 hp, it was the world's fastest production bike when it was released in 1982. Work done in the last year: New tires (Shinko SR712), fork seals, front brakes, Yuasa AGM battery, carbs ultrasonicly cleaned tuned and balanced, fuel tank cleaned inside. Might be more I'm forgetting, but that's the bones of it. The bike runs *very* well and is a pleasure to ride. In decent condition cosmetically considering its age. Seat has a 2" tear. Selling because I bought a new bike as well as one mechanical issue... NOTE - starter clutch is slipping and will need to be replaced. Able to be bump started for test rides. Plates are off but I can get a temporary permit for a serious buyer. Not safetied but needs nothing to pass. If you're willing to replace the starter clutch this is a wonderful bike. I'd really like to see it in the hands of someone who wants to fix it and enjoy it for more years! Delivery to Winnipeg is available.
