I am selling my Scottish made Skyinbow electric violin in red starburst. I tried out many, many models of electric violin before deciding on this one since it is much lighter and had a much cleaner and more natural tone. The light weight means that it is easy to play for hours without the fatigue I experienced much sooner with other models. The violin takes a 9V battery and has a simple volume control on the side. It can be used with or without a preamp. I am selling it since I upgraded my acoustic and had it fitted with electronics. I am also considering selling my colourful carbon fibre Codabow Electric bow so let me know if you are interested. The violin has a couple of nicks (one in the headstock and one in an ornamental part of the bridge) but is otherwise in excellent condition. I paid over $1800 at Long and McQuade. Asking $950 for the instrument, and I can throw in a case and Kun shoulder rest if wanted. I will also throw on a set of new strings before pick up. Will also consider trades for nicer acoustic guitars (Larrivee, Breedlove, Martin, Gibson, etc.) or possibly an electric (Gibson Les Paul or Gretsch electric, etc.) Contact me to schedule a time to try it out!
