    Description

    German flat back double bass likely made in mid 1800s. 3/4-7/8 size. Has ebony fingerboard, carbon fiber tail piece and end pin, new bridge & soundpost, and cool looking hat peg tuners. Scroll graft. Sides replaced with triple ply - work possibly done in the 1950s. This bass was fully reglued and restored last fall. Has lots of old scars but feels strong & solid. Presently set for jazz with low action. Seems to play effortlessly for a bigger bass. Heartwarming tone. Selling for $3900. Thanks
