Reichert Zetopan Microscope and Accessories

REDUCED PRICE - Zetopan large research microscope with swivelling binocular head, by Reichert Austria, together with a large quantity of ancillary equipment and lenses in fitted cases. Also have a Lux US 12v, 100 watt light control unit, and many other items, with instruction manuals. The Reichert Zetopan is a research grade microscope. An older instrument, but a fantastic one. Binocular eyepiece with wide angle lenses for easy viewing. It has a vertical photographic tube on the binocular head to attach an included polaroid camera apparatus, which means it has another ocular lens pointed down into the bottom chamber - a perfect place to put a digital camera or a web camera. It is equipped with Phase Contrast and Darkfield illumination (picture #10) - both great for viewing live specimens and other samples. It has the rather rare full polarizing stage assembly (picture #4), a sophisticated and very heavy unit with the optional low slung X Y stage controls (a calibrated stage with a micrometer for measurements). Heavy duty quick release controls seen on the right allow for repositioning and removal of the stage and removal of the sub-stage. Includes 5 sets of eyepieces with different magnification (picture #5) It has a spare nosepiece with 5 objective lenses, and a Standard turret condenser (picture #6). It also has several colour filters. It comes with a light source lamp housing with filter slides (picture #1). Includes the Zetopan epi incident light illumination assembly (picture #8) (pages 19 to 24 of users manual). Light enters in through the back end lens, and exits through special epi objectives to illuminate the top of the specimen. Included are 10 of these objective lenses (picture #9) that have a fixed carrier plate to push into the dovetail of the assembly. When attached you can illuminate the top only, the bottom only, or both top and bottom of the specimen. It is a beautiful piece of equipment and also functions fantastically. This Microscope was used in a Quality Laboratory Working Environment. It is in good physical working condition. All the knobs, slides, and parts are fully functional, and move smoothly. Everything moves and adjusts with precision. Optics are in excellent condition, however, the microscope was stored without a dust cover in the lab. It will need a good cleaning. It has minor blemishes on the body from normal use. This is Reichert flagship microscope from a bygone age (circa1960) when modular microscopes were just that. The accessories and ‘add-ons’ for this microscope are very numerous which allowed it to be used for the full range of microscopy applications including industrial, scientific, biological, medical, electronic, polarising, metallurgical and educational applications. Due to my insufficient knowledge of the unit, I am selling it as-is and I will not part out anything. Please don’t ask technical questions as I will not know the answer.
