Description

Built it for serious adventure riding in mind, with all the best parts available for a DR. Everything on this bike was carefully chosen and mounted to give the rider the best on and off-road adventure experience. It’s an adventure bike! I rode it in full protective gear, so a few scuffs / minor scratches are visible. In beautiful condition, sad to see her go, but I'm no longer using her since a bought a second motorcycle.

List of parts: Lynx screens with night vision LED lights (extra sport and touring spare shields) Trail Tech Vapor dashboard gauge (clock, RPM, air temp, oil temp, high temp alarm etc.) Odometer eliminator (wheel spacers) Heated grips Oxford adventure (removed for now, in the box, can be reinstalled in 30 minutes) Led fog lights and brackets Wide foot pegs Protaper adventure handlebar Custom made heavy duty 3/8 aluminum hand guards Stainless steel braided front brake line JNS rear master cylinder guard JNS front sprocket cover - easy maintenance JNS oil cooler guard JNS chain guard Chain roller eliminator Supersprox rear sprocket Stainless steel engine protectors Seat concept comfort low profile seat License plate eliminator and LED tail light conversion Supermoto front fender Acerbis skid plate Acerbis 20 liter tank with 2 petcocks (on both sides) Tygon fuel lines with steel spring wraps (no kinking) Acerbis standard cap (no lock) and lock cap Tank pads Turn signals clear lenses and signal relocation kit Twin Air - easy maintenance main air filter JE High compression piston * - Piston skirt coating - Valve face and stem coating - Valve guide coating - Combustion chamber coating - Intake / exhaust porting (as per MotoTune USA) - Header pipe weld cleanup FCR MX 39 Keihin carburetor (tuned by MX Rob) ** SPAL oil cooler fan *** Magnetic drain plug NSU safety kit FFRC Plex fork valving, new synthetic 5W oil and NOK seals Fork caps with adjustable preload Yoshimura exhaust with mid pipe and removable spark arrestor Shorai - Lithium Polymer battery High capacity / better cooling - regulator / rectifier DirtRack Side saddlebags guard DirtRack Rear rack Top box with lock and quick release Tooltube (removed for now, can be reinstalled in 5 minutes) Stiffened rear shock Warp9 bar raisers Warp9 MX Black Elite Enduro wheels with golden hub and nipples Warp9 320mm oversize front rotor and extension caliper bracket Warp9 rear rotor Warp9 bottom chain guide Heavy duty Motoz tires

* The JE Piston got a Cermalube coating on the skirts, and the combustion chamber / valve faces got a Ceramic CBC2 coating. Valve stems got Cermalube, as well as the camshaft journals for reduced friction and enhanced lubrication. New valve stem seals were installed as well. The top end will last 10x longer than standard. At the same time some minor porting was done on both the exhaust and intake side to improve gas flow. And yes, you can feel the difference.

** The Keihin 39 FCR MX was setup as per MX Rob tuning specs. All jets, float level, needle, atomizer etc. were imported from the US (as almost all the other parts), installed and tuned. The FCR does not have a natural fit at the back so a custom flange was made on a milling machine to accommodate the air filter boot, and also internally provide as smooth airflow as possible.

*** SPAL high efficiency cooler fan has been installed to provide artificial air flow during slow speed riding in hot weather such as low gear climbing, being stuck in traffic etc. It’s manually operated now (switch), but I have all the components to make it automatic (thermal switch), I just haven’t had time to do it. If you were to build a bike like this, you'll need a very healthy base bike ($7K) + $10K in parts and probably 100hrs minimum to make it all work ($8K) for a total of $25K. In short, this bike has all the goodies you can think of, runs like a Swiss watch. This is the DR650SE with all the best parts, and more... PERIOD!

Needs nothing to certify. Mount your favorite GPS unit or phone, and you're good to go.
