I am selling a set of brand new NOS Borg Warner T-10 4 speed transmission synchronizer sliders/sleeves complete with heavy duty forged synchro rings.
These are Borg Warner Power Brute high performance parts from the 1970's : part number T85B-15
These synchro rings and sleeves fit all 1957 through 1965 OEM Borg Warner T-10 transmissions regardless of vehicle manufacturer.
These synchro rings and sliders can also be used in Super T-10 transmissions if the original cast strut keys and springs are upgraded to the high performance hollow strut keys and springs.
The hollow stamped strut keys are lightweight not like the heavy cast Super T10 struts that "hang up" at high RPM causing missed shifts.
I have a few Power Brute high performance strut keys and spring assemblies ( SP10-2 1/2) available to upgrade your Super T-10 (for extra cost).
Borg Warner 4 spds were used by every Detroit car manufacturer : AMC , Chevrolet , Corvette , Pontiac , Buick , Oldsmobile , Ford , Plymouth , Dodge and Studebaker.
Worn synchronizer sleeves will cause gear "hop out", burred or chipped sleeve splines will cause missed shifts or problems going into gear.
Synchro sleeves can also have the shift fork groove worn or enlarged by improper shifter adjustment which will also bring on the above problems as the shift forks will not move far enough to engage the gear synchro teeth properly.
Worn synchro rings cause gear grinding when shifting.
All these occurences are damaging to the synchro teeth on those expensive and hard to find transmission gears.
If you're re-doing your Borg Warner 4 spd - do it right !
