Gremlin AMC 20 disc brake Rear end with powertrax Lock-rite posi
This is an AMC 20 V8 diff pulled out of an LS1 powered 1973 AMC gremlin. Will fit many other AMC years and models. It has a powertrax lock-rite locker installed in it ($336.26 USD) and speedway motors gm metric (Cadillac) calipers ($97.99 each) with integral parking brake, caliper brackets, 11.75” racing rotors and hats. It also has stainless steel brake lines going to the calipers and it filled with 75w80 synthetic diff oil. The plug welds were re-welded and a bead was slowly welded in steps around the axle housing tubes to eliminate warpage and to fix the usual weaknesses of these diffs. It is stock width and has the stock AMC bolt pattern and 2.73:1 gear ratio perfect for turbo cars. It was in a daily driver that was going to get turboed but I swapped it out for a ford 8.8 for more strength and I didn’t like the clicking of the locker going around turns in my daily driver. It has slightly over $650 USD in parts in it not including labour which at today’s rate equals out to $850 CDN not including shipping and brokerage fees. THE BAD: This diff has sat in my shed for 3 years and the rotors have corroded and need replacement $29.99 each at speedway. Needs to be re-painted. Also it is missing the vent tube as it was used for the other diff. IT DOES NOT COME WITH THE ALUMINUM WHEEL SPACERS IN PICS! It’s located in Guelph, Ontario, Canada and I prefer not to ship it. Pick up only. Price is negotiable.
