1-on-1 Math & English Tutor | MEd, U of T | Grades 3–12 | $50/hr

Hi! I’m Minou (MEd., HBSc.), founder of Tutor Without Borders. I hold a Master of Education in Developmental Psychology & Education from the University of Toronto, along with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Biology for Health Sciences. I have over 12 years of experience working with students of different ages, abilities, learning styles, and educational needs. Currently accepting students for: • Math — Grades 3–12 • English — Grades 3–12 • 1-on-1 online sessions via Zoom • $50/hour My approach is about more than grades. I started Tutor Without Borders because I believe students learn best when they feel supported, understood, and comfortable making mistakes. Some students need a concept explained in a different way. Some have gaps in foundational skills that make new material harder than it needs to be. Others understand the material but struggle with confidence, motivation, organization, or feeling overwhelmed. That’s why I don't use a one-size-fits-all tutoring program. Sessions are individualized based on each student's current abilities, learning needs, pace, personality, and academic goals. Depending on the student, we may work on: • Strengthening foundational skills and filling learning gaps • Understanding current classroom material • Homework, assignments, and test preparation • Writing, grammar, reading comprehension, and essay skills • Mathematics concepts and problem-solving • Getting ahead and building a stronger foundation for future coursework Most importantly, I want students to leave our sessions feeling more capable than when they entered them. How it works: Sessions are held 1-on-1 individually through Zoom, allowing students to learn from home while still receiving my full attention. Lessons can be used for ongoing weekly support or targeted help with specific areas of difficulty. Not sure whether tutoring would be the right fit for your child? I'm happy to offer a free 15-minute parent/student consultation so we can chat about what they're currently experiencing, what you'd like support with, and whether I would be the right person to help. Feel free to send me a message through Kijiji or email me at tutorwithoutborders@hotmail.com Tutor Without Borders ✨ You are more than your grades. Every student has potential. Sometimes the right support makes all the difference. ⭐ Reviews: https://maps.app.goo.gl/weCyn1Cqcanb9FZ47
