Using a diagnostic assessment, I will analyze your results and discover which NCLEX strategies would suit your needs best. STEP 2: A Customized Tutoring Plan Created Just For You During the kickoff call, I will ask you questions to determine your learning style and other information I need to build you the ultimate NCLEX study plan. The information I glean from our conversation will help me develop a personalized tutoring plan that targets and rectifies your weaknesses. STEP 3: Work Together with Me To Rectify Your Weaknesses You’ll work with me as you follow and execute your prep plan. I understand that you have other commitments and a busy schedule, so you and I will select times to connect that work best for you. Every weekly check-in has an agenda, so your prep time is always well-spent. I will take time to practice your weak areas and sharpen up your skills. STEP 4: HOURLY RATE: $45 PER HOUR **Please try to book a session at least 2-5 WEEKS before your desired session. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS How do I know if you are legitimate? Good question! There are a lot of scams out there, so please be careful. I am a Registered Nurse in California, Texas and Canada. You can look up my license on the Board of Nursing website for those states and see that my RN license is active. What Certifications do you have to teach? I am a Nurse Educator - Registered Nurse Certified in the following specialty: - Medical Surgical Nursing – Canadian Nurses Association - Critical Care – Canadian Nurses Association and American Association Of Critical Care Nurses - Stroke – American Board of Neuroscience Nursing How do we meet? All tutoring is done online and live were you meet face-to-face with me using zoom or teams How much tutoring should I do? All students that are repeat test-takers or high risk for not passing are highly recommended to do between 10-20 hours of tutoring to properly go through each topic and to do the readiness tests. This option gives you the highest chance of passing. However, all students are different, so it depends on your situation. What is considered a “high-risk” student? A high risk student is one that has a higher risk for not passing the NCLEX. High risk students are those that failed the NCLEX, internationally trained outside the U.S. or Canada, ESL student, failed at least one nursing course, has been at least 3 months since nursing school ended, moderate to severe test-taking anxiety, and GPA <2.75. How often do I meet with you? Students typically meet with me 2-3 times a week for 2-4 months. It depends on how quickly you get through the topics and how good your memory is. How long will I have to wait before I can get tutoring? There is currently a waitlist and the wait varies from a few days up to 1 week What do we do at the tutoring sessions? I help by assessing knowledge and reviewing content when needed, show you how to apply strategies by answering practice questions, and help you get a study plan together. Each session you practice questions with me to make sure you understand how to apply the content and strategies. Then I bring up the study plan to show you the next topic to work on. I can help you adjust your study plan and study habits to best fit your needs. What is your pass rate? Great question! It depends. If a student does at least 8 sessions and I have said they are ready to take the test, the pass rate is 100% for repeat test-takers.
