Coastal BOONDOCKIN: FULLY SELF-CONTAINED RVs /Cozy Cabin rental

Come with your own self-contained RV or rent our cozy lakeside cabin on the shore of Long Point Bay. For the folks who know what 'dry'-camping is -- this is it. You bring in your self-contained RV rig and you take everything away with you when you go, except for general trash. Garbage/household waste only bins provided. 15amp, 3 prong-standard plug-ins available, so bring your own cord/RV-plug adaptor to run your 15amp (max) or lower devices, chargers, etc. If using a micro-ceramic style heater, a separate cord is recommended to avoid any nuisance trips. ATM, we have no black water dump station. We are a basic dockage/ cabins rental business, and when that part shuts down we are open for 'dry'camping to make great use of our lakeside location. Come check out our unique and beautiful location at the lakefront at a time when very few, if any, other local campgrounds are open this time of year. PLEASE Note: our neighbours at Burning Kiln/Concerts in the Vineyard have a number of shows in the autumn, so check them out and make a plan. Upon your response you will be given easy instructions on how to complete our booking process and get ready for your AWESOME weekend getaway with you and your better half and/or furry friend. We ARE pet friendly so long as always on-leash, all the time, outside of your RV and pickup after them. If you're interested in bringing your small fishing boat we have dockage available for a modest fee of $20/night, in addition to your RV parking fee of $100 /night. Nearby Ontario Provincial Parks provide hiking, mountain-biking trails, kayaking and canoeing opportunities, but they don't rent so you need to bring your own craft. Bass and yellow perch fishing are two of the species fishers seek. Birdwatchers also flock to the adjacent UNESCO-designated Long Point World Biosphere Reserve for the birding opportunities. The fact that Bird Studies Canada is located only 5 minutes away from Hilltop Lodge is proof-positive of the plethora of waterfowl and songbirds that migrate through this region. Lush Carolinian woodlands are also native to the area with a number of trails available. Enjoy and explore Norfolk County from our "Heron Haven" site.
