Wellness Active Living Club (WALC) is a one hour low-impact, group exercise program designed to enhance and maintain functional ability and mobility, while decreasing the risk of falls and other preventable injuries. Classes are centered on aerobics, strength training, balance and flexibility.
Position Summary: After provided training, Group Instructors develop and design weekly one hour classes and deliver them to seniors and/or adults with disabilities, of all ability levels. Classes are currently being delivered at 22 sites across Waterloo region.
All Instructors receive 48 hours of FREE in-depth training and also receive 18 weeks of mentorship with a trained instructor. We reimburse mileage to and from class.
