Should your wedding be joyful?
Of course it should!
A wedding ceremony should be enjoyable and stress-free for the bride and groom, and also for their family and friends. And there should be a spiritual element during the ceremony, otherwise, why get married?
Michael Bittle is an experienced, humorous, wedding officiant who enjoys marrying couples in all types of places. Michael performs over 50 weddings a year and testimonials from couples he has married rave about how wonderful he was in their wedding.
And to the best of his knowledge, not a single one of these couples has ever gotten divorced!
Michael says "Weddings should be fun for the bride and groom, and their families and friends. Indeed, they should touch on all three S's: a little bit Sacred, a little bit Sentimental, and of course a little bit Silly!"
Would you like to be married in a Church? This can easily be arranged.
Do you have another venue in mind for the ceremony? Michael is the ONLY minister to perform a wedding in the Frankenstein House of Horrors in Niagara Falls! (See http://www.niagarafallsreview.ca/2008/02/17/couple-ties-knot-at-house-of-frankenstein) He also substituted for a Roman Catholic priest in an RC parish in Mississauga (and no one knew the difference). He has been just about everywhere and done just about everything when it comes to weddings!
Would you like a modern Roman Catholic ceremony? Perhaps a short Mass at your location of choice? Fr. Michael is perhaps the only non-Catholic priest who can perform a full - or abridged - Catholic ceremony outside of a Catholic church. (Ask him how to get the RC Church to recognize your marriage afterwards.)
Would you like a non-denominational ceremony? Michael has years of experience performing non-denominational spiritual ceremonies.
Would you like a multicultural or inter-faith marriage ceremony? Michael has performed 'mixed' weddings involving individuals who are Jewish/ Anglican/ Muslim/ Catholic/ Sikh/ Filipino Catholic/ Christian/ Buddhist/ Hindu/ Protestant/ Agnostic/ Reformed/ Christadelphian/ Christian Scientist, and more. Religion should be no barrier to having a memorable wedding! As long as you are willing to have some humour during the ceremony!
Spiritual, non-denominational weddings, multi-cultural ceremonies (Hindu, Jewish, Chinese, Muslim, Buddhist, Celtic, Filipino, Newfoundlanders), and Catholic-style services are a specialty. Friends of Bill W. are especially welcome.
He has also performed weddings involving languages other than English, including French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Hebrew, Cantonese, Mandarin and Japanese. He is a great believer in showing respect to the cultures and beliefs of those who have gone before us.
Working with you, Michael will customize your wedding service to make sure your ceremony reflects your needs and your personalities. Unity Sand/Candle Ceremonies, hand-fasting, rose ceremony, special readings, and more, are just some of his suggestions.
Your wedding officiant will typically be the least expensive part of your special day - so choose one who will help make it fun and memorable.
FEES: the typical fee for a wedding is $ 350; a rehearsal is $ 150. Extended travel is extra. This includes consultations, HST, etc.
Michael is pretty booked up for 2017 and he has bookings already for 2018. Please contact him as early as possible for your wedding.
