Description

Anyone out there want to take on a Supra project? Thinking of letting mine go as I don't have the space or the shop to do it in anymore. I've had this car since the 90s it used to look like the first picture. its 100% reliable, thats why I've always kept it. i drove it daily everywhere for well over a decade . I've done almost everything to it mechanically already over the years and have collected the best parts from every supra I've seen in the wreckers since I've got it, to make it the best it could be.. but it needs paint as it is over 40 years old, it does need rockers as its rusted out like supras do. And I thought it was looking ugly because of it. So I started the process of getting it ready for paint. Its been rust treated so hopefully no more forms, the floor is solid and the front is nice, the problem atea is the rockers and the wheel wells where the fender flares go needs attention it is unmodified and original other than that It has all new suspension, monroe senceatracts all around cost over 1000, all new brakes cost over 600, new windshield costs over 400, that needs to be installed after paint. Newer 1984 motor and 5 sp. trans with only 110,000km on it was dropped in in the mid 2000s as the original had over 400,000 fun kms put on by me over the decade, it now has around 135000kms which is nothing for these motors! One day the original blew white smoke everywhere, thought it was the head gasket but it turned out to be a porosity bubble flaw in the aluminum in the number 4 intake runner that let go after thousands of heat cycles. And at the time the 1984 drive train was available and i had the cash so i just bought it and dropped it in while i was rebuilding the original motor, I still have the original motor and the 5 speed as well. The car has never been in an accident, doesn't need any inspections and is very cheap to plate. 140.00 a year. There is some damage to passenger side fender and front bumper as an old girlfriend brushed up on a big garbage steel bin as she was trying to back out one day when I let here take it. But I've got a celica fender for it and it solves that problem. The car is at a friend's acreage for the time been. About 30 minutes away from Regina. It ran when I parked it there, as I've done a full tune up on it, it has all new wires and cap, fotor and rebuilt distributor and sparkplugs.. I am a mechanic by trade but not a body man and painter and was going to learn to do it with friends that owned a body shop, but things change. These cars are very rare now, especially un modified ones. People love to make them into drift cars.. if you want to take this on, let me know, finish it and you'll have one of the best supras on the planet. It most likely has bad gas in it now and you'll need a trailer for it. It looks ruff now that it has the fender flares removed so I could rust treat everything and the front fenders are in my basement, light covers are off too. Serious inquiries only.. No sorry we can't go look at it. If you got cash and a trailer and are serious let me know. It is a rare P- type, black on black one. If you can weld and paint this could be for you.
